Two years ago, we launched Holdson with a mission: to change the way manufacturers think about post-processing. We believed there was a better way to finish parts – one that was faster, smarter, and more sustainable. Today, as we celebrate our second anniversary, I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.
Since day one, we’ve been driven by real-world challenges, customer feedback, and a belief in the potential of our electroform™ technology. Over the last 24 months, we’ve demonstrated that potential on the global stage. From Formnext, to AM Forum, ITAP Singapore, and SWITCH where we were honoured to be named a top 10 finalist in the Slingshot pitching competition out of more than 5000 entries – we’ve shown what electroform™ can do to the people shaping the future of manufacturing.

We’ve built incredible partnerships with some of the industry’s most forward-thinking organisations, including Renishaw, the University of Birmingham, UKAEA, and Additive Manufacturing Solutions. Collaborations like these have been key to refining and validating our technology in demanding real-world environments.

We’ve also delivered. This year saw us sell electroform™ systems to the team at Additive Manufacturing Solutions, helping them solve post-processing challenges in additive manufacturing.

Based on customer feedback, we developed and launched the ef-150 – a compact machine purpose-built for academic and R&D environments that need the power of electroform™ in a smaller footprint.

Growth has come not just from commercial traction, but from support and collaboration. We’ve taken part in multiple programmes backed by Innovate UK, including the Global Incubator Programme, and worked closely with AMPI to drive forward UK-based manufacturing innovation.

Our team has grown to 18 talented individuals since April 2023, all united by a shared ambition to change the way the world thinks about surface finishing.

Holdson’s journey has only just begun – but the level of international interest and industry engagement we’re now seeing makes us incredibly excited for what lies ahead. We’re proud to be building a business that’s not just innovative, but sustainable, collaborative and designed for real-world impact.
To everyone who’s supported us on this journey – thank you. Here’s to the next chapter.
