Unleashing the potential of additive manufacturing

About

Holdson is a West Yorkshire-based electrochemical polishing machine tool supplier aiming to address the issue of inconsistent surface finishes on additive manufactured components. We are producing UK-based intellectual property through patents, providing a competitive advantage in the advanced machinery industry.

Our story

Holdson was founded in 2023 by a team of engineers and entrepreneurs with a passion for developing innovative solutions to industry challenges. The company was established in West Yorkshire, UK and began trading in the same year.

Our founders recognised a need for a more sustainable and efficient electrochemical polishing machine tool, which led to the development of our Electroform machines.

By using recyclable consumables and electrolytes and reducing energy consumption, our Electroform machines deliver high-quality results while minimising environmental impact.

Since its founding, Holdson has grown to a team of 10 employees and has secured 8-figure commitments and high traction in the industry. We have also developed UK-based intellectual property through patented technologies.

Our commitment to innovation and sustainability is apparent in all that we do, and our Electroform electrochemical polishing machines are poised to revolutionise the industry.

Our commitment to sustainability is matched only by our dedication to innovation.

Our commitment to sustainability

We invest heavily in research and development, partnering with leading experts in the industry to develop cutting-edge technologies and processes that provide our customers with the most efficient and effective electrochemical polishing solutions on the market. Through our commitment to sustainability and innovation, we are driving positive change in the electrochemical polishing industry, delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers and the planet. Some of the environmental benefits of our Electroform technology include:

Recyclable Consumables and Electrolytes:

Our Electroform machines use consumables and electrolytes that are designed to be recycled, minimising waste and reducing environmental impact.

Reduced Energy Consumption:

Compared to traditional mechanical polishing methods, electrochemical polishing with Electroform machines requires significantly less energy, which translates to lower greenhouse gas emissions and energy costs.

Extended Equipment Lifespan:

Our Electroform machines are designed to be durable and long-lasting, reducing the need for frequent equipment replacements and minimising waste.

Reduced Chemical Usage:

Electrochemical polishing uses fewer chemicals than traditional mechanical polishing methods, which reduces the environmental impact of the process.

Improved Efficiency:

Electroform machines are up to 6 times faster than traditional mechanical polishing methods, which leads to reduced energy consumption and improved overall efficiency.

By incorporating sustainability into our product design and operations, Holdson is committed to reducing its environmental impact and promoting a more sustainable future.

“Our vision is to be a leading electrochemical polishing machine tool supplier, making a positive impact on the manufacturing industry through our innovative and sustainable technology, delivering high-quality and high-precision components to our customers.”
